This policy explains how Island Family Clinic handles personal data collected through this website, islandfamilyclinic.com, in line with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
This policy covers the website only. Personal data collected when you visit one of our clinics, such as your registration details and medical records, is handled under our clinic data protection practices and the healthcare regulations that apply to medical records. Please ask at any of our clinics if you would like a copy.
Who we are
This website is operated by Island Medical Holdings Pte Ltd (UEN 201705734N), which operates the Island Family Clinic branches at Sengkang, Seletar, Fernvale, Anchorvale, Keat Hong and Bukit Batok.
Island Family Clinic (Bedok) is operated separately. Personal data you give to the Bedok clinic is handled by that clinic.
What we collect, and why
When you send an enquiry through the form on our Locations page, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and the subject and message you write. We use them only to reply to your enquiry.
When you apply for a job through our Careers page, we collect your name, email address, phone number, address, and the subject and message you write. We use them only to consider your application and to contact you about it.
Please do not include detailed medical information in a website message. If your enquiry is about your health, a short description is enough. Our clinic team will follow up with you directly.
When you browse the website, we measure how the site is used, such as which pages are visited, using Cloudflare Web Analytics. It does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not identify you or follow you across other websites.
How your message reaches us
Form submissions are not stored on the website. When you press Send, your message is delivered by email to our clinics' mailboxes, which are hosted on Google Workspace. The website is hosted on Cloudflare, which carries your message from your browser to those mailboxes.
We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.
Who else handles your data
We use a small number of service providers, who handle personal data only on our behalf:
- Google Workspace, our email service, where your enquiry is received and answered.
- Cloudflare, which hosts the website, delivers form submissions to our mailboxes, and provides the cookie-free visitor statistics described above.
- OpenStreetMap, which provides the map on our Locations page. As with any map service, your browser requests map images from their servers.
These providers may process data outside Singapore. Where they do, we rely on them to protect it to a standard comparable to the PDPA.
Links to other services. Online booking is provided by HealthHub, operated by the Ministry of Health, and our "Get directions" and opening-hours links open Google Maps. When you follow these links you leave our website, and those services' own privacy terms apply.
Cookies
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep website enquiries and job applications for up to 12 months after our last contact with you, unless we need them longer to meet a legal obligation. After that they are deleted.
Your choices and rights
You may ask us:
- for access to the personal data we hold about you from this website,
- to correct it if it is wrong, or
- to stop using it and delete it, by withdrawing your consent.
To make a request, contact our Data Protection Officer at the address below. We will reply within 30 days, and if we need longer we will tell you why.
Keeping it safe
The website does not store form submissions. Messages travel encrypted (HTTPS) from your browser to our mailboxes, and access to those mailboxes is restricted to our clinic staff.
